Operative words

Pursuant to this public health emergency, you have asked for DEA registered narcotic treatment programs (NTPs) to have an exception to 21 CFR 1301.74(h)... You further propose that the delivery of the medications may be conducted by an authorized NTP staff member, law enforcement officer, or national guard personnel... Based on these considerations, DEA grants the exception to 21 CFR 1301.74(h).

Enforcement

Exception to a registrant security requirement otherwise enforceable under 21 U.S.C. 842-843

Notes

Companion to the SAMHSA OTP guidance of the same date; permitted doorstep delivery of methadone to quarantined patients.
