Operative words
Many of the UI-related provisions in EUISAA and the CARES Act, as amended, are now extended, with some modifications, beyond their current expiration date of March 14, 2021, to September 6, 2021.... On March 18, 2020, EUISAA was enacted, which provided: 1) emergency administrative grants to states; 2) emergency flexibilities to states related to temporarily modifying certain aspects of their UC laws; 3) a short-term waiver of interest payments due and interest accrual on Title XII advances... On March 27, 2020, the CARES Act was enacted, which included the creation of three new UC programs: PUA, Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC).
Enforcement
Notes
ARPA section 9651 (ERC for Q3-Q4 2021) and these UI extensions are provisions of the same Act of March 11, 2021.
