Operative words
Recently Health Mandate 10 governing interstate travel into Alaska was modified. Despite these changes, commercial fishing and sport fishing operations across Alaska are reminded that they must continue to abide by Health Mandate 17 and the approved protective plans adopted under this mandate. These plans are critical to ensuring the health of fishermen, processors, and clients as well as the communities they are operating in or traveling through.
Enforcement
AS 26.23.020 and the mandates' own terms (fines up to $25,000 for violations recited in the mandates, Exs. AK-012, AK-019)
Notes
The fish and game agency's own statement that Alaska's outfitting, charter and commercial fishing sectors were bound by the mandates through the 2020 season.
