Operative words
Commercial driver's licenses, learner's permits, endorsements and special certificates expiring between March 2020 and November 30, 2021, are automatically extended through November 30, 2021, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced today. The previous extension was set to expire on August 31, 2021. The decision to extend expired licenses, permits, endorsements and special certificates follows updated guidance from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Commercial driver medical certifications expiring June 1, 2021 or later are extended until September 30, 2021.
