Operative words

(a)(3)(i) All places of employment shall be kept clean to the extent that the nature of the work allows.... (d)(1) Washing facilities shall be maintained in a sanitary condition.

What it required

Every general-industry employer had to keep the workplace clean and maintain sanitary washing facilities with soap or cleansing agents and towels or drying means (1910.141(d)(2)). OSHA listed the standard among those applicable to SARS-CoV-2 in the April 13 and May 19, 2020 enforcement plans (Exs. AGY-FED-LABOR-IMMIGRATION-020, -024).
