Operative words

I. Every employer shall provide employees with safe employment. Safe employment includes but is not limited to furnishing personal protective equipment, safety appliances and safeguards; ensuring that such equipment, appliances, and safeguards are used regularly; and adopting work methods and procedures which will protect the life, health, and safety of the employees.

Penalty

RSA 281-A:64, IV: employers subject to paragraph III 'shall be placed on a list for early and periodic workplace inspections by the department's safety inspectors' and 'shall comply with the directives of the department resulting from such inspections'; administrative penalty per the section heading (later paragraphs not read)

What it required

Every employer must provide safe employment, furnish personal protective equipment and adopt protective work methods and procedures; employers of 15 or more must prepare, file and biennially update a written safety program and maintain a joint loss management committee that meets regularly to carry out workplace safety programs (paras. II-III).
