Operative words

Visitation is allowed for all residents at all times. Updated guidance to align with the ending of the PHE... In March of 2020, CMS issued memorandum QSO 20-14-NH providing guidance to facilities on restricting visitation of all visitors and non-essential healthcare personnel, except for certain compassionate care situations, such as an end-of-life situation.... The information contained in this memorandum supersedes and replaces previously issued guidance and recommendations regarding visitation.

POST-DATES Sept. 30, 2021. CMS's own history: visitation restrictions began March 2020 and the guidance was not aligned to 'the ending of the PHE' until May 2023.
