Operative words
Due to the severity of the ongoing COVID-19 delta variant surge in Georgia, Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King is reissuing Directive 20-EX-11, effective for 30 days from today, subject to further evaluation. Georgia's hospitals are experiencing extreme demand due to the current surge in COVID-19 cases and this temporary suspension of certain preauthorization requirements for post-acute placement is meant to help free up bed space and clinical staff to support these patients.
