Operative words
Customers and employees using CapMetro services or at a CapMetro facility are required to wear face masks, and that policy is being strengthened due to new regulations from the Centers for Disease Control. The CDC issued a new order requiring customers nationwide to wear face masks on public transit. Bandanas and other single-ply fabric coverings now do not meet the new federal requirement and will be prohibited. CapMetro made face coverings a requirement on CapMetro services and at facilities in April 2020.
Enforcement
CapMetro operator enforcement; federal order penalties (42 U.S.C. § 271; TSA security directives)
Notes
The release is dated 'February 2, 2020' on its face, an evident misprint for 2021 (it describes the January 29, 2021 CDC order). Agency release describing its policy.
