The intent of this executive order is to encourage voluntary compliance with the requirements established herein by the businesses and persons within the jurisdiction of the City of Tupelo.

Enforcement

Stated intent of voluntary compliance; enforcement by Tupelo Police Department from EO 20-020 (Sept. 30, 2020)

Notes

Recites the North Mississippi Medical Center 'near or at their capacity for treating COVID-19 inpatients' and the hospital's formal request for a face-covering policy. Ballotpedia describes Tupelo as the first Mississippi city with a mask rule (June 30, 2020).
