Operative words
Whereas, on March 13, 2020, and on January 15, 2021, the Commissioner of the Montana Division of Banking and Financial Institutions issued a Proclamation based on the state of emergency due to COVID-19 in Montana. The Proclamation allowed all state chartered banks and credit unions to close any office, if the institution deemed it necessary to protect the health and safety of their employees and customers. Institutions had to continue to provide essential banking services to customers through ATMs, drive through windows and/or mobile banking applications.... Now, therefore, I, Melanie G. Hall, Commissioner... hereby rescind the proclamation dated January 15, 2021, effective immediately.
Enforcement
'Banks in Montana that need to close any office will need to follow the regular statutory procedure to do so'
