Operative words

WHEREAS, Payne County is currently elevated to Moderate ('Orange') Risk Level pursuant to the Oklahoma COVID-19 Risk Level System; and WHEREAS, Payne County is currently elevated to a High ('Red') Level of Community Transmission pursuant to the CDC COVID Data Tracker... The City Council hereby strongly encourages Stillwater residents to follow the most recent CDC guidance, as updated on July 27, 2021, which includes a recommendation for everyone to wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission, even if they are fully vaccinated. The City Council further reminds Stillwater residents that businesses and organizations are free to require more stringent mask rules, and asks that residents respect all such requirements. Stillwater Police Department will continue to respond to trespassing complaints for businesses or other entities that choose to require masks.
