2020: Cancelled by the Administrative Committee 'earlier this week' (release of Apr. 8, 2020). 2021: June 16-18, 2021 assembly held virtually: 'Earlier this year, the bishop-members of the USCCB voted to approve the convocation of this year's June meeting in a virtual format in light of the challenges posed to meeting in person with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic' (June 8, 2021). The Nov. 15-18, 2021 Baltimore assembly was 'the first in-person meeting of the full body of bishops since November 2019' (Oct. 15, 2021; after the period). Usual dates: June 10-12, 2020 (annual, June). Scale: 'the hundreds of bishops, staff, observers, guests, affiliates, volunteers, contractors and media involved' (USCCB, Apr. 8, 2020).
