Operative words
the term 'eligible entity' (A) means a restaurant, food stand, food truck, food cart, caterer, saloon, inn, tavern, bar, lounge, brewpub, tasting room, taproom, licensed facility or premise of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, sample, or purchase products, or other similar place of business in which the public or patrons assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink (s. 9009c(a)(4)(A))
Enforcement
SBA grant program; legislative finding relied on as context only, never as an order
Notes
Congress's March 11, 2021 identification of caterers among the businesses whose 'pandemic-related revenue loss' warranted a dedicated fund, enacted the same day as I.R.C. s. 3134 (ARPA s. 9651); cited as the legislative record of the industry's condition, alongside the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant statute for live venue operators, promoters and theatrical producers (SEC-17-001).
