Total postsecondary enrollment declined by 2.7 percent or 476,100 students in fall 2021, for a total two-year decline of 5.1 percent or 937,500 students since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic... Undergraduate enrollment alone fell by 3.1 percent or 465,300 students over last year... public four-year institutions losing the largest number of students (251,400 or -3.8%)...
