Operative words

private and public pre-K through 12 schools are required to follow the County Alert System's county-by-county color-coded system maintained by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, as it relates to any limitations or prohibitions on occupancy of such educational institutions for in-person instruction and/or athletic and extracurricular activities.

Notes

The County Alert System map (green, yellow, gold, orange, red) governed school occupancy county by county through the 2020-21 year and continued to govern travel sports in Red counties through the third quarter of 2021 (EO 12-21 paragraph 6).
