Operative words
In response to the COVID-19 crisis and the Stay Home Stay Safe Order, The Dallas County Clerk's Office will be closing all of its offices to the public. Our operations will be limited to essential services only. All transactions will be done either by electronic filing, mail, document drop off. Vital Records: We will not accept or process applications from individuals seeking copies of birth, death or issue marriage license at this time. We will only provide essential services to funeral homes. Recording Division: Will process deed records from title companies only. We encourage all title companies to submit them electronically but we will accept them by drop off in a sealed envelope. We will not accept applications for Assumed Name for Business (DBA) or personal documents from individual until the Stay Home Stay safe Order has been lifted. Civil Courts: The division is restricting face-to-face services to Temporary Restraining Order (TROs) filings, bond payments and process server citation pick-ups.... County Clerk Administration will be closed. Criminal Misdemeanor Courts: Will only accept filing online.
