Operative words

In light of new recommendations released by the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC), NJ TRANSIT is urging all of our customers still using the system for ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY to wear a face covering.... If I'm working from home for the remainder of the month to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and won't need my monthly pass anymore, can I get a refund?

Enforcement

None on the page; the binding mask and capacity rules of the period were Governor Murphy's Executive Order No. 125 (paras. 1-4; N.J.S.A. App. A:9-49, -50 penalties), which the page as captured does not recite

Notes

Service announcement graded context. Its evidentiary value is the carrier's own description, in the second quarter of 2020, of a system reduced to 'ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY' and of monthly-pass holders working from home. The binding New Jersey transit rules of the same weeks (EO 125: 50 percent capacity, face coverings, from Apr. 13, 2020) are in the New Jersey State file.

Retrieval note

Rendered copy of the authority's own page; the page text carries no date and no Wayback banner appears in the text layer. Date_issued is the filename date (May 6, 2020) and is approximate; the 'urging' language predates or omits the mandatory face-covering rule of EO 125 (Apr. 13, 2020).
