Operative words

'Masks are required for all individuals in the following indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status: On public transit... and in transportation hubs...; Indoors in K-12 schools, childcare and other youth settings...; Healthcare settings...; State and local correctional facilities and detention centers; Homeless shelters, emergency shelters and cooling centers.' 'Additionally, masks are required for unvaccinated individuals in indoor public settings and businesses (examples: retail, restaurants, theaters, family entertainment centers, meetings, state and local government offices serving the public).' Businesses 'may choose to' provide information and allow self-attestation, 'Implement vaccine verification,' or 'Require all patrons to wear masks.' 'we are recommending that fully vaccinated people also mask in indoor public settings across California.'

Notes
