2020: Health Officer Order C19-05 (Mar. 11, 2020) prohibited gatherings of 1,000 or more and C19-05b (Mar. 13) gatherings of 100 or more; the shelter-in-place order of Mar. 16 closed the Center; GDC had already been postponed on Feb. 28, 2020 after exhibitors withdrew: "After close consultation with our partners in the game development industry and community around the world, we've made the difficult decision to postpone the Game Developers Conference this March."
