Operative words

This chapter shall apply to every employer now or subsequently doing business in this state and all applicants for industrial registration as provided in chapter 19 [repealed] of this title.

What it required

The employer's duty of § 28-20-8 reaches 'every employer now or subsequently doing business in this state'; § 28-20-10 adds a duty on every State and municipal agency head to 'Provide safe and healthful places and conditions of employment' and to 'Acquire, maintain, and require use of... personal protective equipment.'
