Operative words

For the purpose of limiting the spread of COVID-19, no Vacation Rental shall occur in the State of Georgia for a period beginning at 12:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 9, 2020, and extending twenty-one (21) days until Thursday, April 30, 2020, at 11:59 P.M.... 'Vacation Rental'... shall include any transaction for the lease or license to use residential property for residential or vacation purposes; that is facilitated by a third party or a broker, where the lease or license term does not exceed 30 days... This definition shall not include hotels... extended stay hotels... campgrounds, or commercial transactions.

Enforcement

Violation a misdemeanor (recital, 'any person found in violation of this Order shall be guilty of a [misdemeanor]')

Notes

Exceptions for fully paid reservations and for leases to health care and emergency workers.
