Operative words

Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 58-2-110(3)(A)(v), the Declaration of State of Emergency originally issued on March 17, 2020 and extended by subsequent Executive Orders is hereby extended for seven (7) days and I hereby continue to invoke the authority granted by Tenn. Code Ann. §§ 58-2-110, 58-8-104, 38-9-103 and 38-9-104 as well as City Code §§ 9-24-2, 9-8-4 and 2-58-7 and all other applicable law for the duration of the Emergency.

Notes

Recital: COVID-19 continues to present a danger to public health through community transmission, which has resulted in a significant loss of lives in Shelby County to the virus and has significantly strained the hospitals and the public health system.
