Operative words
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIM STRICKLAND, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MEMPHIS by virtue of the power vested in me, declare a limited state of emergency continues to exist as it relates to COVID-19 and the response to COVID-19 ("Emergency"). Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 58-2-110(3)(A)(v), the Declaration of State of Emergency originally issued on March 17, 2020 and extended by subsequent Executive Orders is hereby extended for seven (7) days... including directing the City, its departments and agencies, to seek any and all necessary federal and state funding to facilitate the response to Local Emergency.
