Operative words
On September 8, the City of Bexley joined the City of Columbus in mandating masks in most indoor public spaces regardless of vaccination status. This mandate will go into effect in Bexley on Friday, September 10. Franklin County Public Health announced their support of this effort, and is encouraging local municipalities to enact a similar mandate.
Enforcement
Mayoral order; City facilities and City-sponsored events had required masks since Aug. 20, 2021 (City release 'Bexley, FCPH, and CDC Asking All to Mask Up in Public Spaces')
Notes
Franklin County averaged 493 new cases per day, a 58 percent increase from late August, per the City's release. Whitehall announced the same mandate the same day (WCMH-TV, Sept. 8, 2021).
