Operative words

All University of Minnesota faculty, staff, students, and visitors (including contractors, service providers, vendors, and suppliers) are required to wear an acceptable face mask that is properly fitted to cover the wearer's nose and mouth, wrap under the chin, and not have any noticeable gaps at all times when in any enclosed or indoor space on University campuses and properties... This directive applies to all University campuses and all properties within the University's Real Estate Inventory and University transportation services.... Any employee, student, or visitor who fails to abide with this directive may be asked or directed to leave the campus space.

Enforcement

Removal from campus; employees taken off duty; discipline

Notes

Education, construction, staffing and professional-services memoranda: a public-university mandate on every contractor, vendor and supplier entering the largest employer campus in the metro from Aug. 2, 2021.

Retrieval note

The University is a constitutional public corporation; drafters should plead it as a governmental authority over its own premises and contractors.
