Notes
2020: Parade cancelled July 15, 2020 because float construction 'could not be performed in a safe manner' and the event's 'large crowds and outside visitors' would spread infection (Wikipedia); on December 3-4, 2020 the Association announced the Rose Bowl semifinal would be played without fans 'due to the COVID-19 restrictions set forth by the state of California, Los Angeles County and the City of Pasadena' (Ex. SEC-21-GM-034), and on December 19, 2020 moved the game to AT&T Stadium in Arlington because the Governor's orders prohibited spectators (Wikipedia). 2021: No parade; game in Texas; the Regional Stay at Home Order (Ex. CA-020) and Los Angeles County's December 30, 2020 Safer at Home order (Ex. MET-LA-012) were in force on January 1, 2021; Pasadena's own orders followed the County (Ex. MET-LA-051) and in August 2021 Pasadena issued mega-event mask and vaccination-or-test orders (Exs. MET-LA-054, MET-LA-056). Usual dates: January 1. Scale: About 700,000 parade spectators in a normal year (Wikipedia). Venue orders 2020: CA-017, CA-019, CA-020, CA-021, MET-LA-010, MET-LA-011, MET-LA-012.
