Operative words

Indoor gatherings are limited to 25 persons in a single enclosed, indoor space.... Outdoor gatherings at private residences and in private backyards... are limited to a maximum of 50 people.... In Lower Risk Communities... gatherings at event venues and in public settings... are limited to a maximum of 100 persons...; In communities that do not qualify as Lower Risk Communities, gatherings at event venues and in public settings... are limited to a maximum of 50 persons.... For gatherings of more than 10 people, all persons over the age of 5 must wear a face covering.

Enforcement

Civil fine up to $500 per violation under St. 1950, c. 639, s. 8, administered under G.L. c. 40, s. 21D; injunction; ABCC or local licensing authority may suspend, revoke or cancel an alcohol license; one-week notice to local board of health for outdoor gatherings over 50
