The City of New Orleans has suffered a setback in many public health milestones and is facing an increased surge of the Delta variant... [These] restrictions will be effective as of July 31, 2021 at 6:00 A.M.... All individuals over the age of 2 and without breathing complications (i.e. use of oxygen) are subject to an indoor mask requirement and are required to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth: At all times when in indoor spaces outside the household, unless actively eating or drinking; While riding in a vehicle with members outside of the household. Businesses must comply with all safety requirements as set forth herein... All individuals in indoor gatherings are required to wear a face covering over the nose [and mouth]... Outdoor events of more than 500 individuals may operate between 75-100% of capacity if all participants wear masks through the duration of the event... [or] without masking or distancing IF all participants provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status OR a negative COVID test result from a test conducted within 72 [hours]... All businesses and institutions allowed to operate effective July 31, 2021, must implement and [comply with]:... When two or more people are occupying a vehicle for work related purposes, they are required to wear face coverings; All workers must have easy and frequent access to soap and water or hand sanitizer...; Workers shall not report to, or be allowed to remain at, a work or job site if sick or symptomatic

New Orleans reinstated its indoor mask mandate on July 31, 2021, four days before the State's 137-JBE-2021 (Aug. 4, 2021). This is the first Q3 2021 instrument to be cited for Orleans Parish.
