Operative words
The Regional Transit Authority will begin implementing service reductions, beginning Tuesday, March 17th to all bus, streetcar, ferry, and paratransit services to assist in the mitigation of community spread of COVID-19. These changes are being made in the interest of public health and safety to limit the use of public transit for essential travel only (work, health care, nutrition). All busses and streetcars will operate on a reduced Saturday schedule from Monday through Friday beginning March 17th.

Operational directive of the transit authority
Notes
New Orleans has one of the highest transit-dependent workforces in the South; the reductions reached every employer whose staff commuted by bus or streetcar.
