2020: Shows postponed and cancelled from March 2020 under State and local gathering orders; the AKC told clubs they 'will have to make their own decision based upon local, state or federal mandates which they will be required to follow' (Mar. 12, 2020) and applied cancelled-event fees to the club's next event (Mar. 16, 2020); the 2020 National Championship was run 'In light of the necessary safety changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic' with breed judging livestreamed (Nov. 2, 2020) (P). 2021: Events resumed club by club under the gathering and venue orders then in force (class). Usual dates: Year-round weekends; National Championship in December. Scale: AKC 'each of its 5,000 clubs'.
