Operative words
SECTION 1: Proclamation Number 12 CLS 2021, effective July 29, 2021, is hereby terminated. SECTION 2: Face Coverings: A) All individuals in unincorporated Jefferson Parish shall be required to wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when indoors in any place outside of a private residence except in the circumstances provided for in Subsection (C) below. B) In accordance with the order issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on January 29, 2021, all individuals shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth while passengers and operators of public conveyances... SECTION 3: Operators of private businesses and organizations may institute more restrictive measures for their premises than those imposed by Section 2 of this Proclamation. SECTION 4: Enforcement of these requirements will be handled by any authorized law enforcement agency, and the Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance Zoning/Quality of Life is also hereby empowered to enforce the provisions of this order.... SECTION 6: This order shall be effective on August 4, 2021.
